We have received reports that some T-Mobile Home Internet users may experience IPTV/streaming services suddenly failing to connect, even though their internet connection is otherwise working normally.
One possible cause is T-Mobile's Advanced Cyber Security / Safe Browsing filtering, which may block or interfere with certain IPTV/streaming connections.
If your service suddenly stopped working on T-Mobile:
Before opening a support ticket, please review our troubleshooting guide below. It explains:
- How to check T-Mobile's Cyber Security settings
- How to temporarily unblock a connection for testing
- How to disable Advanced Cyber Security if necessary
- When restarting your T-Mobile gateway is required
- Other possible causes including DNS, IPv4/IPv6, app/device issues, and routing
- Using a VPN as an additional troubleshooting option
The image below also provides a quick reference for T-Mobile Home Internet users.
Important: Do NOT disable your Wi-Fi password, WPA/WPA2/WPA3 security, firewall protections, or other normal network security settings. The troubleshooting described here applies specifically to T-Mobile's Advanced Cyber Security/Safe Browsing filtering.
If your IPTV service works on another internet connection or while using a VPN, but not through your normal T-Mobile Home Internet connection, this is a strong indication that the issue may be network-related rather than a service outage.
